Dr. Soenaryo is an assistant professor of clinical occupational therapy at the University of Southern California and currently serves as the Senior Director of Professional Development and Research Coordinator at Momentum Pediatric Therapy Network. She was born in Indonesia and grew up in Singapore. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Church Music from Calvin University and completed her master’s and doctorate in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California. Her doctoral residency was completed at the Los Angeles Unified School District, which was focused on developing a manual for school-based occupational therapy to build an inclusive education in Indonesia. Prior to completing her post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy, she had established a pediatric clinical practice for almost ten years and taught as a visiting lecturer of occupational therapy at several university-level institutions in Indonesia, in addition to practicing in Singapore and the United States.

As an active clinician with extensive international experience for more than seventeen years, Dr. Soenaryo has been providing pediatric interventions and consultations in the clinic, schools, and in-home and telehealth services. She is an expert in pediatric occupational therapy and interventions, and also certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT). Having worked in diverse settings throughout her experience, she is committed to providing a culturally sensitive and family-based pediatric interventions.


Occupational Therapy

Many people are surprised to hear that children participate in occupational therapy because we usually associate the word “occupation” with jobs. However, there is a broader view of “occupations” for children, including playing, learning, and socializing with friends. Physical Therapy

Our physical therapists specializing in pediatrics assist children in developing and enhancing mobility, so they may safely participate in activities at home, in the community, in the classroom, and on the playground. Our physical therapists focus on children’s ability to participate in essential movement activities such as crawling, walking, running, playing games, and participating in sports. For children who rely on mobility aids such as wheelchairs, orthotics, and other supports, our therapists show them how to navigate safely in various environments.
