Momentum 25th Annual Golf Classic
What fun we had on the green, we raised $82,000 for our pediatric programs! Thank you to those who joined us for the Momentum Classic Golf Tournament, a prestigious event dedicated to raising critical funds to support our innovative and therapeutic pediatric services at Momentum and supportive employment at Momentum WORK, Inc.
Momentum Celebrates! 2024
Thank You! We are so grateful for all our friends, families, volunteers, and community members who joined us on April 27th at our Second Annual Momentum Celebrates! gala. We celebrate you and your profound generosity that raised over $410,000 to support the lifespan of services Momentum provides to more than 6,500 children, adults, and families each year.
Refresh Available at Minnesota State Fair
Momentum Refresh was available to fair-goers from Aug. 24 to Sept. 3 at the Minnesota State Fair. Momentum Refresh is accommodating its “first universal design mobile restroom” which is designed for easy accessibility and inclusivity. This restroom was available on opening day and was open to staff and fairgoers. Be sure to check out MomentumRefresh.org to stay updated about future events.
Camp Escapades 2023 Welcomes 120 Kids
Camp Escapades, a transformative two-week summer camp for children with disabilities and medical conditions, commenced from July 31st through August 11th at Momentum, a pediatric clinic dedicated to supporting children and families in the South Bay area. Camp Escapades offered 120 children a traditional summer camp experience that fostered a sense of belonging and joy for all participants.
Refresh Headlines CERT Conferences
Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) are a vital resource for any size municipality when disaster strikes. Momentum Refresh’s presence at the 2023 National CERT Conference in San Francisco demonstrated the need for reasonable accommodations during disaster and emergency situations. In times of emergency, it’s crucial to provide an inclusive and accommodating environment for everyone, including individuals with disabilities.Â
Momentum Celebrates! Gala Raises $340K
We are so grateful for all our friends, families, volunteers, and community members who joined us on April 29th at our inaugural Momentum Celebrates! gala. The Looking Beyond Foundation gave Momentum $100,000 to support our residential programming in Thousand Oaks and another $10,000 to support future programming at our new site in Thousand Oaks. A total of $340,262 was raised to support the lifespan of services Momentum provides to more than 6,500 children, adults, and families each year.Â
Refresh Shines at Abilities Expo
Momentum Refresh, the country’s first fleet of mobile adaptive restrooms in the country, showcased true accessibility and equity with its presence at the Los Angeles Abilities Expo for the second year in a row. Two vehicles were on hand, one for tours and the other for use by attendees. “We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again and again until we achieve the equity that we’re striving for—restroom accessibility is just as important as venue accessibility,” says Lori Anderson, President and CEO of Momentum.

Mothers’ mission to bring adult changing tables to Minnesota State Fair comes to pass
This year, the Minnesota State Fair welcomed an exciting addition: Momentum Refresh. Thanks to the efforts of Minnesota lawmakers and community leaders, a fresh initiative was set in motion, mandating the inclusion of adult changing tables in newly constructed restrooms. This presented a perfect platform to showcase Momentum Refresh, which embodies the principle of universal design by offering thoughtful accommodations. The impact was palpable as numerous fair attendees embraced the convenience of Momentum Refresh, allowing them to savor the fair to the fullest without compromising their experience or resorting to less accessible facilities.

Camp Escapades Featured on ABC 7’s ‘In the Community’ Segment
Momentum’s annual Camp Escapades hit the airwaves this summer as ABC 7 featured the one-of-a-kind camp on its ‘In the Community’ segment.
Two weeks filled with non-stop fun and excitement culminated in an unforgettable experience for 120 enthusiastic kids. The joy and laughter echoed through every corner of the campgrounds, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Our dedicated camp facilitators worked tirelessly to ensure that each day brought fresh adventures and activities, keeping the young campers engaged and entertained throughout their journey.Â

Talented actress and Momentum Wheels for Humanity board member Laura San Giacomo appeared on KTLA to talk about her acting career as well as Momentum Refresh and the importance of restroom equity for people with mobility issues.
We’re grateful for Laura’s deep passion to help people with disabilities and medical conditions. In the interview, she points to the need to have Refresh at businesses, venues and events. ABC 7 Highlights Momentum Refresh Vehicle, Interviews Dr. JJ Levenstein
Momentum Refresh, along with other resources, products, and services for mobility users, their families, and caregivers at Booth 151. Two vehicles will be on hand, one for tours and the other for use by attendees. Momentum Refresh’s game-changing quality comes from its person-centered features. Designed to respond to users’ unique individual needs, the Momentum Refresh mobile adaptive restrooms feature height-adjustable sinks, adjustable grab bars, adult changing tables, and even a hoist that lifts users in a wheelchair. It also has shower trolley, freshwater, specialized electrical, heating, and air conditioning with ventilation.
