Momentum‘s Expertise in Sensory Integration Supports ArtCenter College in Design Innovation

As part of our continuing effort to collaborate with respected institutions of higher education, Momentum hosted students from ArtCenter College of Design’s Product Design course last week.

Accompanied by their professor, Jini Zopf, the students toured Momentum‘s pediatric clinic in Torrance last week. As part of their semester-long project, these aspiring designers will create universally designed products that contribute to the enrichment of children’s lives. The students gained insight into sensory integration therapy through direct observation of children actively participating in ‘Leaps and Bounds’ early intervention programs and ‘Early Head Start’ classes.

Students gained a better understanding of Momentum‘s dedication to promoting inclusive design principles through engaging discussions about Momentum‘s mission, services, and the use of universal design of adaptive tools.
