‘In Case You Missed It’ Highlights – 12/27

As 2022 comes to an end, we are inspired by our valued donors. Starting with Long Beach Gives in September through Giving Tuesday and up to today, generous donors have aligned with Momentum, supporting our pediatric programs in Long Beach and providing vital funding for our array of lifespan services. 
 
Our generous supporters have made tax-deductible gifts totaling $347,445 to ensure Momentum enters 2023 with the needed funding to maintain and grow our lifespan of services. With just 8 calendar days remaining in 2022, we can’t stop now.
 
Every dollar makes a direct impact on the lives of the children and adults who rely on Momentum’s pediatric and adult programs, services, our dedicated professional therapists, nurses, and caregivers. Please share this edition of ICYMI with your friends and family who may want to join you in supporting Momentum. Check out what we’ve been up to below.
 
Momentum Helps Spread Cheer to the Community,
as Santa Visits with Children
 
Momentum offers unmatched early intervention care with a focus on the child and the family. For the first time, we aligned with Local Anchor, and with the boost from our friends including Keller Williams – Beach Cities, CA Sen. Ben Allen, and Fourth District Supervisor Janice Hahn, we were able to gather close to 1000 items for nearly 60 families in the South Bay area and Long Beach. Mattel aligned with Momentum by generously donating 94 toys to the drive. Forty volunteers helped wrap gifts and hand out these much-needed presents to go under the tree.
 
“We are grateful for the overflowing generosity we’ve seen from the community with the help of Local Anchor’s outreach to rally these families who rely year-round on Momentum’s Early Head Start and other programs and services. Seeing this enthusiastic response to help these families have a wonderful holiday season is very heartwarming,” said Lori Anderson, Momentum President and CEO. We aim to grow our impact through future collaboration opportunities to help even more families across the Momentum family.
 
 
 
Adult Services Celebrate Holidays with Hanukkah Traditions and Christmas Caroling
 
 
We really get into the holiday spirit here at Momentum. From Christmas carolers visiting us to tree lighting and Hanukkah celebrations, we go all out. We hope you are enjoying this holiday season with family and friends.
 
Momentum Refresh Highlighted in Malibu Times
 
Shout out to our friend Tami Ferreira, who was featured in the Malibu Times. She is using her modeling platform to be a fierce and strong advocate for inclusion. We’re grateful she highlighted Momentum Refresh at the Jingle Ball, where she shared its importance in bringing equity to people with disabilities. Check out the story here.
