‘In Case You Missed It’ Highlights – 11/27

November 28, 2022

We are counting down the hours until Giving Tuesday! Won’t you join us in raising $25,000 in 24 hours? Of course, we’d be grateful for an early jump on that total. Want to change a life today? You can do it in 60 seconds. Your financial gift makes an impact and every dollar counts. You have our gratitude. All gifts up to our $25,000 goal will be doubled by gifts from donors to our End of Year campaign. Double $25,000 to $50,000!

We are also recognizing what we’re thankful for in this week’s ICYMI. From the LA Auto Show to community giving, we’ve had a busy November. Read on to learn more.

Stories of Impact –
See Who You are Helping with Your Donation

As we round out the year, we are highlighting the remarkable people we support and the staff who are there every day to make their lives better. We encourage you to read these stories of impact to see who you’re helping with your donation this holiday season. Check out the stories for Don, Ariana, Vanessa & Pilar, and Ruby.
Momentum Refresh Excites at LA Auto Show

We’ve had a blast showing off the Refresh vehicles at the LA Auto Show downtown at the Los Angeles Convention Center. People from across the country and around the world have stopped by to see what Refresh is about. Each time, after learning what the vehicle can do, they are blown away and on board with our mission of bringing a truly accessible restroom to people with disabilities and medical conditions. Learn more and see our schedule at MomentumRefresh.org and follow us on Refresh Instagram page here. We look forward to being at Jingle Ball next week!

Community Giving Back!

With the help of King’s Hawaiian Bakery and LA County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn, 60 families are still relishing the joy we brought them right before Thanksgiving. Those families received deliciously soft Hawaiian rolls and a $25 gift card to give a boost during the holiday season. Thank you to all who helped make this possible!

‘Trying to Make It Through’ Exhibit

Daniel M. made his art exhibit debut last week with his first exhibition at Chatsworth. He is a visionary artist with a bold style and exceptional affinity for color. Full of light and energy, Daniel’s art-inspired, abstract perspective of the world is one of exuberant landscapes teeming with vitality and life.

3D Printing Adaptive Tools

Our team is pushing the possibilities with 3D printing. Of the many projects Momentum’s adaptive design manager has taken on, Aranga Ker shared his latest tests with 3D-printed bike pedals for our pediatric services. These pedals come with straps that attach to the existing ones, allowing for children with mobility difficulties to stay on the pedal and move forward! Little pieces like these are making big impacts for how children develop their motor skills early on.
