The fraternal twins just celebrated their first birthdays in October, a milestone not lost on their mother. “Never did I imagine that I was going to be blessed with twins! This took my whole family and close loved ones by surprise,” Cynthia says. After being referred to the Early Head Start program at Momentum, Cynthia enrolled while pregnant with her sons. Since then, Momentum has remained with the family every step of the way. Angel was born with a cleft palette. He recently underwent a successful surgery in August. Momentum will support his continued development even after Early Head Start.
“Momentum has helped my husband and me expand our knowledge and understanding with early child development to the point where it motivated me to go back to school and continue my education in child development. Hopefully, one day I’ll be able to work in the field.”
The teachers and staff at Momentum propel Adrian and Angel to fully embrace their outgoing and exploratory personalities with sensory development exercises and socialization gatherings with other children enrolled in the program. “I honestly can’t get enough of their smiles, love, and affection. It’s never a dull moment with them.”
