Small Group Summer Program
Our goal is to enhance communication skills in children who utilize Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) by increasing their access and social language skills. We have set out to educate graduate students, staff, and community volunteers, to better prepare them to be strong AAC partners. We strive to facilitate children’s’ peer interactions and expand their language within the program environment, with the ultimate goal being increased language for the child within their home and community. We feel all children have the ability to communicate and aim to help them achieve this goal.
- Accommodates up to six children per group
- Program led by certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and student interns from related fields
- Offers a playful yet structured setting for your child to develop social communication skills with peers
- Communication goals will be addressed, and a summary of skills demonstrated will be presented to parents at the end of the program
- This program will take place at Torrance from June 20-24 and June 27-July 1
- Sessions are Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12:30-3:30 pm
- Cost is $400 per week. Option to attend one or two weeks
