Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is in hot water after making a controversial comment during an interview on Good Morning America. Newly Crowned Miss America is focusing her efforts on disabilities. A national call center called DIAL was created to fill that gap, providing primary COVID-related services as well as supportive services. Unfortunately, the CDC says this isn’t a quick fix. Even with the newly implemented call center, fewer Americans with disabilities have at least one dose of the vaccine in comparison to Americans without disabilities.
